Nuestra primera parada fue en Arriondas (Asturias) para hacer el descenso del rio Sella. Todos los años el primer Sabado del mes de Agosto se realiza en Asturias el descenso del rio Sella donde gente proveniente de todo el mundo viene a disfrutar de su bajada. Ese fin de semana el pueblo se engalana, hay fiestas por sus calles y musica y baile todo el dia. Aunque ese es el fin de semana tipico el descenso tambien se puede hacer durante todo año.
Durante mi estancia en Arriondas pude visitar el pueblo y paseando vi una preciosa casa de color rojo. La casa me llamo la atencion y segun me explicaron se trataba de una CASA INDIANA, construida por Indianos.
Los Indianos fueron jovenes españoles que decidieron emigrar a paises como Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Chile o Mexico buscando una vida mejor y que lograron amasar grandes fortunas en estos paises gracias a los negocios que emprendieron alli. Una vez de vuelta a España y con grandes riquezas restauraban para vivir antiguas casas, palacetes, pazos...etc o incluso llegaban a construir nuevas casonas, pero todas ellas con un denominador comun , un estilo colonial muy llamativo y colorido que mostraba las tendencias de construccion de los paises de los que regresaban.
En Asturias hay una gran cantidad de estas preciosas casas Indianas. Os muestro a continuacion algunas de ellas. Os dejo tambien alguna foto del descenso del rio Sella y de algunos platos tipicos de Asturias que estaban riquiiiisimoss y que pudimos probar esos dias.

Hello, how about your holiday? Mine this year have been great. I have visited a lot of places and see many interesting things, which Ill be telling through the blog today and in the next post.
Our first stop was in Arriondas (Asturias) to make the descent of the river Sella. Every year on the first Saturday of August takes place in Asturias Sella river descent where people from all over the world come to enjoy their descent. This weekend the village is decorated, there is shouting through the streets and music and dancing all day. Although this is the typical weekend descent can also be done throughout the year.
During my stay in Arriondas I can visit the village and walking saw a beautiful red house. The house caught my attention and according explained to me was a HOUSE INDIANA,built by Indianos.
The Indianos were Spanish young people who decided to emigrate to countries like Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Chile or Mexico seeking a better life and who managed to make great fortunes in these countries because they undertook business there. When the Indianos returned to Spain with great riches were restoring to live old houses, palaces, manor houses ... etc or even came to build new houses, but all with the same characteristic, a very striking and colorful colonial style showing trends construction of the countries from which they returned.
In Asturias there are a lot of these beautiful houses Indianas. I show below some of them. I also left a photo of descent of the river Sella and some typical meals of Asturias which were delicious and we could taste these days.
