Homemade & natural multipurpose cleaner

I hope you´ve had a very happy weekend! I"ve been really immersed in household chores and I remembered that I had to share the recipe of my all-natural & homemade "Mr Clean", my very best multipurpose cleaner that smells so delicious and doesn´t contain any toxic ingredient... What"s more, if you drink it, you would enjoy its health benefits (but don´t drink it!)
So I was looking forward to Monday to share this post!

Althought last Friday I talked so much about the benefits of clay and vinegar facial mask, its appearance wasn´t attractive at all and wasn´t really eye-catching :D  but it has so many benefits!!  With this recipe of my homemade cleaner, however, it doesn´t happen the same, because it"s great and it looks so good! Moreover, while I keep it macerating, I always leave it on visible shelves in the kitchen, because I find it really decorative!!!
Some months ago I told you that I always use a homemade  "orange vinegar"  cleaner (which is nothing else than  apple cider vinegar infused for 2 weeks with orange peels), nothing removes grease and shines like this product. Diluted in water, removes limescale from bathtubs, faucets, shower doors, leaves clean and sparkling windows for a long time, and really shine and clean floors, everything shines and smells deliciously!!
I´ve been using this cleaner for years, but a while ago I went a little further and in order to change the perfume, I started adding other plants, fruits, herbs and spices to the vinegar and the result is just wonderful!! If it seems like fragrance!! nothing remains from the penetrating smell of vinegar!
I"ve done different combinations, and I recommend you try  all of them, the aroma mixture is simply amazing!Lemon, rosemary & vanilla vinegar:

Grapefruit, mint & anise vinegar:

Orange, cloves & cinnamon sticks vinegar:

Preparation:
The preparation is really easy, just collect orange, lemon, grapefruit or lime peels (I"m keep them in an airtight container or zip lock bag in the fridge until I have enough). Combine with some fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, mint, peppermint ...) and spices (cloves, vanilla pods, some cinnamon sticks, star anise ...) and fill mason jars with these combinations and white or apple cider vinegar. Let infuse at least 2 weeks and then strain, reserving the liquid. Use it diluted in some water (so that it is not as concentrated). I prefer to use it in a vaporizer, to ease me the job.

I encourage you to try it out, nothing removes grease and cleans  so good as vinegar, and this citrus twist  enhances its degreasing action, while perfumes the house for the whole day.
It"s so easy, you will save lot of money on cleaning products and you will be using a product that it isn´t toxic  at all, in fact, you could even drink it and I´m sure it would be delicious!! ;)

Blue and beige dining room cabinet Over a year ago, before I was even considering the idea of creating my own blog, I was in a hurry to finish painting this dining room cabinet in a flat that was going to be rent out. The poor thing was in a small room at the end of a long corridor and the room itself didn’t have too much light, so this classic style piece of furniture made the place even da ...

2014 caught me a bit out of control: new job, new colleagues and friends, new schedule, evening cooking… you’d think I’d have got used to it by summer, but I’m still struggling against time: the baby growing and growing, getting ready to start nursery, plus we are having our kitchen refurbished soon.
