Ni os imagináis mi cara de asombro puesto que nunca había hecho nada parecido en toda mi vida; si bien es cierto que ¡siempre he tenido buena maña para las manualidades! Así que, como no podía ser de otra forma, acepté su encargo encantada y asustada a partes iguales.
Pero pensándolo en frío y ahora que ya ha pasado un tiempo, lo cierto es que no me lo puso demasiado complicado. Ella tenía varias ideas de lo que le apetecía y la unión de esas ideas con los más de 10 años de amistad que nos unen hicieron un excelente trabajo. Yo busqué y rebusqué por todos los rincones de Madrid el sobre perfecto, el papel perfecto, el cierre perfecto… Y tras una mañana soleada de sábado en la que les expuse mis diseños, llegamos a lo que para ella y su actual marido fue, ¡¡la invitación de boda perfecta!! O al menos eso me dijeron ¿Queréis verlas?
Today’s post is one of the most special posts I’ve written so far, and you’ll find out why soon. About a year ago one of my best friends from school told us she was getting married, which was great news for the rest of my friends and I. But for sure, this is nothing that couldn’t have happened to any of you… It turns out that after that announcement, she wanted to place a very special order for her big day, she asked me to design the wedding invitations!!
You can’t even imagine my face of astonishment since I had never done anything like that in my life; while it’s true that I’ve always had great skills for crafts! So, as it couldn’t be otherwise, I accepted her order happy and frightened at the same time.
But thinking it coldly and now that some time has passed, the truth is that she didn’t make it too complicated for me. She had several ideas of what she wanted and the union of these ideas with our more than 10 years of friendship made an excellent job. I searched and researched through every corner of Madrid for the perfect envelope, the perfect paper, the perfect locking… And after a sunny Saturday morning in which I explained my designs to them, we reached what for her and her now husband was, the perfect wedding invitation!! Or at least that’s what they told me Do you want to see them?
